CIEH Level 2 Award in Healthier Food and Special Diets
For all employees in catering environments involved in the selection of menus, recipes and ingredients. It is particularly relevant for those in the health care and education sectors. Learning outcomes include; basic understanding of nutrition principles and terminology, understanding the requirements of a balanced diet, identifying differing needs, allergies and food intolerances, current legislation, the impact of manufacturing on the nutritional content of foods.
Duration: One day programme.
Assessment: Multiple choice examination.
CIEH Professional Trainer Certificate
This is an essential qualification for anyone wishing to become either a CIEH registered trainer or a trainer for other qualifications.
Duration: Three day programme.
Assessment: Candidates are assessed on their design and delivery of a short training session which they are required to deliver to other members of the group.
BIIAB Level 1 Certificate in Alcohol Awareness
For teenagers, young adults and everyone who wants to learn about the social, economic and health impacts of alcohol, and the importance of the licensed retail sector.
Duration: 10 guided learning hours.
Assessment: Multiple choice examination.
BIIAB Level 2 National Certificate for Personal Licence Holders (NCPLH)s
Licensing law in England & Wales states that anyone who authorises the sale alcohol to the public must hold a personal licence. Those who wish to obtain a personal licence need to apply to their local authority. Applicants will be asked for a number of things to support their application; one of these is proof that they hold a government approved licensing qualification such as the BIIAB NCPLH.
Duration: One day programme.
Assessment: Multiple choice examination.
BIIAB Level 2 Introduction to Licensed Retail Operations
This qualification is for those who are new to running, or looking to run, licensed retail premises with an overview of the areas of management responsibility that are essential for them to know how to run their business successfully.
Duration: Three day programme..
Assessment: Multiple choice examination.
BIIAB Level 2 National Certificate for Designated Premises Supervisors
This qualification is designed to provide designated premises supervisors with an understanding of their role and their responsibilities in relation to the Licensing Act 2003, as well as other regulatory issues, additional to those covered in the act. The qualification also highlights the day-to-day issues involved in running a licensed premises.
Duration: One day programme.
Assessment: Multiple choice examination.
