HABC Level 3 Award in Effective Auditing & Inspection Skills

Aim

This course is intended to assist in providing those responsible for the inspection of food premises the practical knowledge and skills to ensure that the business is capable of producing safe food.

 

Who should attend?

The course is intended for persons who are or who may be involved in practical auditing or inspection of food premises, including internal and 3rd party auditors, enforcement officers and persons responsible for verifying HACCP, with the main emphasis of the course being on practical inspection and audit skills in the workplace.

 

Course content

• The purpose, benefit and limitations of auditing / inspection.

• Collecting and verifying information / evidence.

• Stages in an audit / inspection.

• Analysis and interpretation.

• People skills.

• Competencies of auditors.

• Conducting on site audits / inspections.

• Preparation of written report.

 

Duration: One day programme (refreshments and lunch included)

Assessment: An HABC certificate will be awarded to those candidates who successfully complete an assessment and a 30 question multiple-choice examination.

 

HABC Award in Delivering Teaching (ADT)

Description

Level 3 qualification for those wishing to deliver training within their own organisation.

 

 

HABC Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector (PTLLS)

Description

PTLLS is a starting point for those who with to train or teach.

It covers the basics of teaching in continuing and adult education - including how to plan sessions, motivate learners and use a variety of assessment methods.

It's a first step towards official practitioner status - a full license to teach in the lifelong learning sector.
